🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp coarse black pepper (freshly cracked preferred)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 3 cups cooked white rice (for serving)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Sear the shrimp: Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and slightly golden. Remove and set aside.
  2. Make the sauce: In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in cream, Parmesan, black pepper, and paprika. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
  3. Combine: Return shrimp to the skillet, drizzle with lemon juice, and toss gently to coat in the sauce. Simmer for 1–2 more minutes.
  4. Serve: Spoon shrimp and sauce over fluffy white rice. Garnish with fresh parsley and a pinch of cracked pepper.
💡 Tip: For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine or a pinch of chili flakes while sautéing the garlic!
