🧾 Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp coarse black pepper (freshly cracked preferred)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 3 cups cooked white rice (for serving)
👩🍳 Instructions
- Sear the shrimp: Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and slightly golden. Remove and set aside.
- Make the sauce: In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in cream, Parmesan, black pepper, and paprika. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
- Combine: Return shrimp to the skillet, drizzle with lemon juice, and toss gently to coat in the sauce. Simmer for 1–2 more minutes.
- Serve: Spoon shrimp and sauce over fluffy white rice. Garnish with fresh parsley and a pinch of cracked pepper.
💡 Tip: For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine or a pinch of chili flakes while sautéing the garlic!
