Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups (500 ml) beef broth
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups (200 g) shell pasta
- 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until translucent.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in beef broth, heavy cream, diced tomatoes, basil, and oregano. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add shell pasta, stirring to coat evenly. Cover and cook for 15–20 minutes, until the pasta is tender and the sauce thickens.
- Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Tip: For extra richness, add a spoon of cream cheese or top with mozzarella before serving.
