Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups (500 ml) beef broth
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups (200 g) shell pasta
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Directions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until translucent.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in beef broth, heavy cream, diced tomatoes, basil, and oregano. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add shell pasta, stirring to coat evenly. Cover and cook for 15–20 minutes, until the pasta is tender and the sauce thickens.
  5. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Tip: For extra richness, add a spoon of cream cheese or top with mozzarella before serving.
