Cinnamon Bread Recipe
Start your morning with a delightful twist by baking this cinnamon bread, a delicious alternative to your usual routine. The enticing aroma of freshly baked bread will fill your home, especially on those crisp fall mornings. This recipe is one of my go-to favoritesāit’s simple to make and uses ingredients that are often already stocked in the pantry. Soft, slightly sweet, and bursting with cinnamon flavor, itās the perfect loaf for any occasion.
Yields: 12 Servings
Ingredients:
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- Ā½ tsp Baking Soda
- 1 Ā½ tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- Ā¼ cup Vegetable Oil
- 2 Large Eggs
- 2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
For the Swirl:
- 2 Tbsp Granulated Sugar
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 2 tsp Unsalted Butter, Melted
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350Ā°F (175Ā°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Using an electric mixer, blend the ingredients on medium speed for 3 minutes until smooth.
- Pour and smooth: Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan, using an offset spatula to smooth the top evenly.
- Create the swirl: In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and melted butter. Sprinkle this mixture on top of the batter.
- Marble the loaf: Gently swirl a knife through the batter to create a marbled effect, taking care not to overmix.
- Bake: Place the loaf in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 50 minutes. To check for doneness, insert a toothpick into the center of the loaf. If it comes out clean, the bread is ready.
- Cool and serve: Once baked, allow the loaf to cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Enjoy this cinnamon bread as a comforting breakfast treat or an afternoon snack!
