Ingredients

For the French Toast:

  • 8 slices thick-cut brioche bread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter or oil for frying

For the Filling:

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions


  1. Prepare the Filling: In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  2. Assemble the Toast: Spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture on one slice of brioche, then top with another slice to create a sandwich. Repeat for all slices.

  3. Prepare the Custard: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, vanilla, cinnamon, granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt.

  4. Heat the Pan: Melt butter or heat oil over medium heat on a large skillet or griddle.

  5. Dip & Cook: Dip each stuffed sandwich into the custard, coating both sides. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

  6. Make the Coating: In a shallow dish, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
