🍫 Chocolate Cream-Filled Loaf Cake
“I make this every Christmas and literally have to bake it in the middle of the night
and hide it from my family if I want any left. Self-control simply disappears when this cake is around!”
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk (for the cream center)
- 1 cup chocolate frosting or ganache
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk until smooth.
- Pour half the batter into the pan, add condensed milk in the center, then top with remaining batter.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- Cool completely, then frost with chocolate frosting or ganache.
