Chinese Pepper Steak

🥢🥩 Chinese Pepper Steak 😍

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound beef top sirloin steak
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
  • 1 red onion, cut into 1-inch squares
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch squares
  • 2 tomatoes, cut into wedges

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Beef:
    Slice beef into thin strips. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sugar, cornstarch, and ground ginger.
    Add beef strips, mix well, and let marinate for 20–30 minutes.
  2. Cook the Beef:
    Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
    Stir-fry beef until browned, about 3–4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté the Vegetables:
    In the same wok, add remaining 1 tablespoon oil.
    Stir-fry onion and bell pepper for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender.
    Add tomato wedges and cook briefly until just softened.
  4. Combine & Serve:
    Return beef to the wok, toss everything together, and cook for 1–2 minutes until heated through.
    Serve hot with steamed rice. 🍚
