Chicken Gravy Egg Noodle Casserole
This creamy, comforting casserole is an easy weeknight favorite. Egg noodles bake in rich chicken gravy with tender shredded chicken and melted cheese, creating a hearty meal that’s perfect for the whole family.
Ingredients
- 12 oz uncooked wide egg noodles
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie works great)
- 2 (12 oz) jars chicken gravy
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a 9×13-inch glass baking dish.
- Spread the uncooked egg noodles evenly in the dish.
- Add the shredded chicken over the noodles.
- Whisk together the chicken gravy, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Pour the gravy mixture evenly over the noodles, making sure they are well covered.
- Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil, stir gently, then sprinkle the cheese evenly over the top.
- Return to the oven uncovered for 10–15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the noodles are tender.
- Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
