Cheesy Steak Quesadilla Bake


🧀🥩 Cheesy Steak Quesadilla Bake

An easy, cheesy, crowd-pleasing dish that’s perfect for parties, family
dinners, or anytime you want something comforting and delicious.

🧾 Ingredients

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 450 g (1 lb) beef steak (sirloin or flank), thinly sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
  • Optional: chili flakes or taco seasoning

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak slices,
    season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Cook 4–5 minutes
    until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add onion, mushrooms, and bell pepper. Sauté for
    4–6 minutes until soft and lightly caramelized.
  3. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Lightly grease a baking dish.
    Place one tortilla on the bottom.
  4. Layer steak, vegetables, and a mix of cheeses. Repeat layers and finish
    with cheese on top.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake another
    10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
  6. Let rest for 5 minutes, slice, and serve hot.

  • Serve with sour cream, salsa, or guacamole.
  • Swap steak for chicken if you like.
