Cheesy Beef & Creamy Rice Bake
A rich, comforting casserole loaded with creamy rice, seasoned beef, and melted cheese that wins over even the “I don’t like rice” people.
Ingredients
For the Beef Mixture:
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Creamy Rice:
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix cooked rice, heavy cream, chicken broth, and half of the cheeses.
- Spread the creamy rice mixture into a baking dish.
- Top with the cooked beef mixture.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella on top.
- Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes or until cheese is melted and lightly golden.
- Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
