Cheesy Baked Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and seasoning.
  3. Form the mixture into evenly sized meatballs.
  4. Place meatballs in a lightly greased baking dish.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Remove from oven, sprinkle cheese over each meatball.
  8. Return to oven for 5–7 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve with mashed potatoes or rice
  • Perfect with a side of vegetables
  • Great for family dinners or gatherings
Tip: For extra flavor, mix a little shredded cheese directly into the meatball mixture.
