Cheesy Baked Beef Patties 🧀🥩
My dinner party guests always go nuts over this dish! These Cheesy Baked Beef Patties are juicy, flavorful, and smothered in a creamy cheese sauce that melts perfectly into every bite. Pure comfort food perfection! 😍
Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom or cheddar soup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Make Patties: In a bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined. Shape into 6–8 patties.
- Sear Patties: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear patties for 2–3 minutes on each side until browned (they’ll finish cooking in the oven).
- Prepare Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together cream soup and milk until smooth. Pour half of the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish.
- Assemble: Place seared patties on top of the sauce. Spoon remaining sauce over them and sprinkle with shredded cheese. 🧀
- Bake: Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
- Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed veggies! 🥔🥦
💡 Tips & Variations
- Use a mix of beef and pork for extra flavor and tenderness.
- For a spicier kick, add crushed red pepper or a dash of hot sauce to the sauce.
- Try swapping the cheese for Gruyère or cheddar for a different twist. 🧀
