🍰 Caramel Pecan Bundt Cake
Finished with a warm caramel glaze and a sprinkle of extra pecans, it’s the kind of dessert that turns any gathering into a celebration.
Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
For the Caramel Glaze
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Extra pecans for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream butter & sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs: Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in sour cream and vanilla.
- Combine: Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in chopped pecans.
- Bake: Pour batter into bundt pan. Bake 50–60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Prepare glaze: In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, cream, and butter. Simmer 3–4 minutes until thickened. Stir in vanilla.
- Finish: Pour warm caramel glaze over cooled cake. Sprinkle with extra pecans.
