Story

“I still remember the year Grandma accidentally baked the first ‘Brownie Pecan Pie’ when her pecan pie crust crumbled and she artfully layered her brownie recipe over it, creating a new Christmas legend that tasted like pure, fudgy, nutty magic and somehow, like home.”

Ingredients

  • Brownie base: melted butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, cocoa powder, flour, salt, baking powder.
  • Pecan topping: brown sugar, corn syrup (or maple syrup), eggs, melted butter, chopped pecans, vanilla, pinch of salt.

Directions

  1. Prepare pan and preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Make brownie batter and spread into pan; par-bake 12–15 minutes.
  3. Mix pecan topping and pour over warm brownie layer.
  4. Bake additional 25–30 minutes until topping is set and golden.
  5. Cool completely (2+ hours), slice and serve. Optionally refrigerate to firm before cutting sharp squares.
