Broccoli Cheese Patties Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 large head of broccoli, chopped into florets
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions:
- Prepare the Broccoli: Begin by steaming the broccoli florets for 5-7 minutes until they are tender. Drain well, allowing them to cool slightly before finely chopping.
- Create the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped broccoli with shredded cheddar cheese, eggs, flour, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped green onions, salt, and pepper. Stir until all the ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
- Form the Patties: Heat a generous amount of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Take approximately 2 tablespoons of the broccoli mixture and shape it into a patty. Repeat this process until all the mixture is used.
- Fry to Perfection: Fry the patties in the hot oil, cooking each side for 3-4 minutes until they achieve a golden-brown and crispy exterior. Once done, transfer the patties onto paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
