Broccoli Cheese Patties Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 large head of broccoli, chopped into florets
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Broccoli: Begin by steaming the broccoli florets for 5-7 minutes until they are tender. Drain well, allowing them to cool slightly before finely chopping.
  2. Create the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped broccoli with shredded cheddar cheese, eggs, flour, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped green onions, salt, and pepper. Stir until all the ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
  3. Form the Patties: Heat a generous amount of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Take approximately 2 tablespoons of the broccoli mixture and shape it into a patty. Repeat this process until all the mixture is used.
  4. Fry to Perfection: Fry the patties in the hot oil, cooking each side for 3-4 minutes until they achieve a golden-brown and crispy exterior. Once done, transfer the patties onto paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
  5. Serve: Enjoy these flavorful broccoli cheese patties warm, paired with your favorite dipping sauce.
