Biscuits and Gravy Hashbrown Breakfast Casserole 🧀🥓🍳

A warm, cheesy, and hearty breakfast casserole perfect for lazy weekends or family brunches.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
  • 1 package (16 ounces) frozen shredded hashbrowns
  • 1 can (16.3 ounces) large flaky biscuits
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the ground sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
  4. Cut the biscuits into bite-sized pieces and spread them evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  5. Layer the cooked sausage over the biscuits, then add the frozen hashbrowns and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.
  7. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the eggs are set.
  8. Let the casserole rest for 5–10 minutes before serving warm.
Tip: Add a drizzle of sausage gravy on top before serving for an extra comforting touch. Perfect with a cup of hot coffee!
