Biscuits and Gravy Hashbrown Breakfast Casserole 🧀🥓🍳
A warm, cheesy, and hearty breakfast casserole perfect for lazy weekends or family brunches.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
- 1 package (16 ounces) frozen shredded hashbrowns
- 1 can (16.3 ounces) large flaky biscuits
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the ground sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease and set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
- Cut the biscuits into bite-sized pieces and spread them evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Layer the cooked sausage over the biscuits, then add the frozen hashbrowns and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the eggs are set.
- Let the casserole rest for 5–10 minutes before serving warm.
Tip: Add a drizzle of sausage gravy on top before serving for an extra comforting touch. Perfect with a cup of hot coffee!
