Amish Glazed Carrots

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs carrots, sliced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup honey (optional but recommended)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add sliced carrots to the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, melted butter, honey, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Pour mixture over carrots and stir gently.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 4โ€“5 hours or HIGH for 2โ€“3 hours.
  5. Stir once halfway through cooking.
  6. Serve warm with the thick, glossy glaze.
