Slow Cooker Beef and Potato Au Gratin

A cheesy, hearty comfort meal made with tender potatoes, seasoned beef, and creamy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 4–5 potatoes (thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef in a pan until browned, then drain excess fat.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup with milk.
  3. Layer sliced potatoes at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Add a layer of cooked beef and onions.
  5. Pour some of the soup mixture over the layer.
  6. Repeat layers until ingredients are used.
  7. Top with shredded cheese.
  8. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.

Tip

For extra flavor, add garlic powder or paprika before cooking.
