🥟 Slow Cooker Pierogi Comfort Bowl
Drop frozen pierogi into the slow cooker with a few extras… and it turns into pure comfort.
📝 Ingredients
- 1 (32 oz) bag frozen potato & cheese pierogi
- 4 tbsp butter (cut into cubes)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Optional: cooked sliced sausage or bacon
- Optional garnish: chopped parsley or green onions
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Layer Everything
Spray slow cooker lightly. Add frozen pierogi in an even layer.
Place butter cubes on top.
2️⃣ Add Creaminess
Pour in chicken broth.
Cut cream cheese into chunks and place over pierogi.
Sprinkle garlic powder and black pepper.
3️⃣ Slow Cook
Cook on LOW for 3–4 hours or HIGH for 2 hours,
until pierogi are tender and creamy.
4️⃣ Finish It
Stir gently. Add shredded cheddar.
Cover for 10 more minutes until melted.
5️⃣ Optional Upgrade
Top with crispy bacon or sliced smoked sausage for a heartier version.
