This is my go-to recipe when I want a tender, romantic dinner waiting for us
— but I also want to relax and enjoy the evening.
Just 4 ingredients. That’s it.
📝 Ingredients (Only 4!)
- 2–3 lbs beef chuck roast (cut into large chunks)
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 lb baby potatoes (or cubed potatoes)
🔥 Instructions
1️⃣ Prep
Place beef chunks in the slow cooker. Add potatoes around the meat.
2️⃣ Season
Sprinkle onion soup mix evenly over everything.
3️⃣ Add Liquid
Pour beef broth over the top.
4️⃣ Slow Cook
- Cook on LOW for 7–8 hours
- Or HIGH for 4–5 hours
The beef becomes fork-tender and melts in your mouth.
✨ Optional Upgrade (If You Want Extra Romance)
- Add a splash of Worcestershire sauce
- Finish with fresh parsley
- Serve with crusty bread or mashed potatoes
