📝 Ingredients
For the Cake:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
For the Cream Cheese Filling:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
🔥 Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
2️⃣ Make the Filling
Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
Set aside.
3️⃣ Prepare the Cake Batter
In one bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk until combined.
4️⃣ Assemble
- Pour half of the cake batter into the loaf pan.
- Spread cream cheese mixture evenly on top.
- Cover with remaining batter.
5️⃣ Bake
Bake 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake portion comes out clean.
Cool before slicing.
