🥩 Easy Steakhouse-Style Beef Roast

This tender, slow-cooked beef roast is packed with flavor and covered in a rich, savory gravy.
Perfect for Sunday dinner, special occasions, or when you want that restaurant-quality meal at home.


📝 Ingredients

  • 3–4 lb beef chuck roast
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening, optional)

🔥 Instructions

1️⃣ Sear the Beef

Season roast with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear roast on all sides until browned (about 2–3 minutes per side).

2️⃣ Slow Cook

Place roast in slow cooker.
Mix beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, onion soup mix, and brown sugar.
Pour over the roast.

Cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours until fork-tender.

3️⃣ Make the Gravy

Remove roast and keep warm.
If desired, whisk cornstarch with water and stir into the cooking juices.
Cook until thickened into a rich gravy.

4️⃣ Slice & Serve

Slice against the grain and spoon gravy over the top.
Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or buttered noodles.
