Homemade Cornstarch Donuts 🍩
With only 1 kilo of cornstarch, you can make over 100 soft, melt-in-your-mouth donuts!
Ingredients
- 1 kg cornstarch
- 400 g butter or margarine (room temperature)
- 2 cans sweetened condensed milk (395 g each)
Preparation
- In a large bowl, add the butter and condensed milk.
- Mix well until creamy and smooth.
- Gradually add the cornstarch, mixing with your hands.
- Knead until you get a soft, smooth dough that does not stick to your fingers.
Shaping the Donuts
- Take small portions of dough and roll into balls.
- Shape them into donuts or small rings.
- Place on a greased baking tray or one lined with parchment paper.
- Leave space between each piece.
Baking
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Bake for 15–20 minutes.
- Remove when the bottoms are lightly golden and the tops remain pale.
Cooling
Remove carefully from the tray (they are delicate) and let cool completely before storing.
