Red Velvet Brownies


Red Velvet Brownies

Rich, fudgy, and beautifully swirled — these Red Velvet Brownies are pure dessert heaven.


Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Cream Cheese Swirl

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs, vanilla, and red food coloring. Mix well.
  4. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined.
  5. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Pour brownie batter into the pan.
  7. Spoon cream cheese mixture on top and swirl gently with a knife.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the center is just set.
  9. Cool completely before slicing.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve chilled for extra fudginess
  • Perfect with coffee or a glass of milk
Tip: Do not overbake — slightly underbaked brownies stay moist and rich.
