Red Velvet Brownies
Rich, fudgy, and beautifully swirled — these Red Velvet Brownies are pure dessert heaven.
Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Cream Cheese Swirl
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs, vanilla, and red food coloring. Mix well.
- Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour brownie batter into the pan.
- Spoon cream cheese mixture on top and swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the center is just set.
- Cool completely before slicing.
Serving Suggestions
- Serve chilled for extra fudginess
- Perfect with coffee or a glass of milk
Tip: Do not overbake — slightly underbaked brownies stay moist and rich.
