Butter-Poached Lobster Tails

🦞 Butter-Poached Lobster Tails

Creamy, luxurious, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. This restaurant-quality lobster is shockingly easy to make at home.

Ingredients

  • 4 lobster tails
  • 1½ cups unsalted butter (cut into cubes)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Using kitchen scissors, cut the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise and gently loosen the meat.
  2. In a saucepan over very low heat, melt butter slowly—do not let it boil.
  3. Add garlic and cook gently for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Place lobster tails into the butter. Poach gently for 8–10 minutes until opaque and tender.
  5. Season with salt and pepper. Spoon butter over lobster continuously while cooking.
  6. Remove from heat, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
✨ Secret to perfect lobster: Keep the butter below a simmer. Gentle heat keeps the lobster juicy and silky.
