Cheesy Baked Sausage Rolls in Marinara

Golden on the outside, loaded with melty cheese on the inside, and baked in rich marinara sauce.
These fun, cheesy sausage rolls disappear fast — kids and adults love them.

Cook Time: 30–35 minutes

Total Time: About 50 minutes

Ingredients

  • 8–10 Italian sausages (mild or spicy)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara or pasta sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Olive oil spray or light oil for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Brown the sausages lightly in a skillet over medium heat (about 5–6 minutes). They do not need to be fully cooked.
  3. Spread marinara sauce evenly over the bottom of the baking dish.
  4. Place sausages on top of the sauce in a single layer.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over the sausages.
  6. Season with Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
  7. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and lightly golden.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Tip:
Serve with garlic bread or over pasta for a full meal.
You can also use chicken sausages or stuff sausages with extra cheese for an even gooier center.
