Cheesy Sausage Breakfast Casserole

This warm, cheesy, sausage-stuffed casserole is the perfect comfort dish — easy, hearty, and ideal for holidays, brunches, or weekend breakfasts.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) breakfast sausage
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup biscuit mix (such as Bisquick)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish.
- Cook sausage in a skillet until browned; drain excess fat.
- Spread cooked sausage evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, biscuit mix, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Pour the mixture over the sausage and cheese in the dish.
- Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until golden and set in the center.
- Allow to cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Tips
- Add diced peppers or onions for extra flavor.
- Use spicy sausage if you prefer some heat.
- Great for meal prep — reheats beautifully.
