Frijoles Borrachos

Frijoles Borrachos 🌶️🥘
“OMG, just like what mom used to make but had lost the recipe for ages! Made it for a family dinner and now I’m hooked to make it every weekend.”
Ingredients:
- 3 cups cooked pinto beans (with broth)
- 6 oz bacon, chopped
- 1 cup Mexican beer
- 1 smoked sausage or chorizo, sliced
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 jalapeño, diced
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Cook bacon in a pot until crispy.
- Add sausage/chorizo and sauté 3 minutes.
- Stir in onion, garlic, tomato, and jalapeño. Cook until softened.
- Pour in the beer and simmer 3–5 minutes.
- Add cooked pinto beans with broth, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer 20–25 minutes until flavors combine.
- Top with fresh cilantro and serve hot.
