Cranberry Turkey Stuffing Balls
Quick, savory bites with a sweet cranberry touch.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground turkey
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
- 1 cup cooked or canned cranberries (drained)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
- 1 tsp salt, ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying) or a little oil for baking
Instructions (short)
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) if baking. Or heat a skillet with oil over medium heat to fry.
- In a bowl combine turkey, breadcrumbs, cranberries, onion, garlic, egg, parsley, salt & pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form into golf-ball sized balls (about 1–1½ in / 2.5–3.5 cm).
- To bake: place on a lined baking sheet, brush lightly with oil, bake 18–22 minutes until cooked through.
To fry: cook 3–4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. - Serve warm with gravy, cranberry sauce, or a dipping sauce.
Yield: about 18–24 balls. Time: 30–40 minutes.
