Cheesy Beef & Creamy Rice Bake

A rich, comforting casserole loaded with creamy rice, seasoned beef, and melted cheese that wins over even the “I don’t like rice” people.

Ingredients

For the Beef Mixture:

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Creamy Rice:

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, mix cooked rice, heavy cream, chicken broth, and half of the cheeses.
  4. Spread the creamy rice mixture into a baking dish.
  5. Top with the cooked beef mixture.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella on top.
  7. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes or until cheese is melted and lightly golden.
  8. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
