Cheesy Crescent Beef Pie

Cheesy Crescent Beef Pie 🥧✨
“My niece usually eats just a few bites of anything, but she devoured three-quarters of this in one night! My husband and I had to share the remaining quarter. She looked at me and said, ‘Auntie, can we have this every week, please?’ So yes — this recipe is definitely going on repeat!” ❤️
🧀 Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- ½ teaspoon dried basil or Italian seasoning (optional)
👩🍳 Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Arrange them around the edge of the pie dish with the pointed ends facing outward.
- Spoon the beef mixture into the center and fold the pointed tips of the dough over the filling toward the middle, overlapping slightly.
- Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with basil or Italian seasoning if desired.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm!
💡 Tip: You can add sautéed bell peppers, mushrooms, or a spoonful of cream cheese to the beef mixture for an extra creamy filling!
