Cheesy Crescent Beef Pie 🥧✨

“My niece usually eats just a few bites of anything, but she devoured three-quarters of this in one night! My husband and I had to share the remaining quarter. She looked at me and said, ‘Auntie, can we have this every week, please?’ So yes — this recipe is definitely going on repeat!” ❤️

Cheesy Crescent Beef Pie

🧀 Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil or Italian seasoning (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese.
  4. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Arrange them around the edge of the pie dish with the pointed ends facing outward.
  5. Spoon the beef mixture into the center and fold the pointed tips of the dough over the filling toward the middle, overlapping slightly.
  6. Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with basil or Italian seasoning if desired.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm!
💡 Tip: You can add sautéed bell peppers, mushrooms, or a spoonful of cream cheese to the beef mixture for an extra creamy filling!
