Pecan Pie Cobbler 🍯🥧

Pecan Pie Cobbler

🍰 Ingredients

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 ½ cups chopped pecans (plus extra for topping)
  • 1 ½ cups boiling water
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • Pinch of salt

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour melted butter into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, milk, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Pour over the butter (do not stir).
  4. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the top, followed by chopped pecans.
  5. Slowly pour boiling water over the entire dish (again, do not stir).
  6. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbling.
  7. Cool for at least 10 minutes before serving — the caramel sauce thickens as it rests.
  8. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream. 😋
🥄 Tip: This dessert makes its own gooey caramel sauce as it bakes — no need to mix or layer separately!
