Ingredients

  • 500g (1 lb) cooked meatballs
  • 300g (10 oz) pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese 🧀
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups marinara or tomato sauce 🍅
  • 1 cup heavy cream or milk
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper to taste 🧂
  • Fresh parsley for garnish 🌿

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until soft and fragrant.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked pasta and meatballs to the sauce, stirring to coat evenly.
  6. Transfer everything to a baking dish and top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm. 😋
Pro Tip: Add a layer of ricotta or cream cheese between the pasta and sauce for an extra creamy twist.
