Ingredients
- 500g (1 lb) cooked meatballs
- 300g (10 oz) pasta (penne or rigatoni)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese 🧀
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 cups marinara or tomato sauce 🍅
- 1 cup heavy cream or milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt & pepper to taste 🧂
- Fresh parsley for garnish 🌿
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until soft and fragrant.
- Stir in marinara sauce, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta and meatballs to the sauce, stirring to coat evenly.
- Transfer everything to a baking dish and top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 20 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm. 😋
Pro Tip: Add a layer of ricotta or cream cheese between the pasta and sauce for an extra creamy twist.
