Honey Garlic Glazed Ribs 🍯🍖
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) halal beef ribs, cut into pieces
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp halal-certified oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Parboil the ribs for 5–7 minutes to remove excess fat and impurities, then drain and pat dry.
- In a skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
- Add the ribs and cook until lightly browned on all sides.
- Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, brown sugar, and vinegar. Mix until ribs are well coated.
- Add a splash of water, cover, and simmer for 25–30 minutes on low heat until tender and glossy.
- Remove the lid and cook uncovered until the sauce thickens and caramelizes beautifully.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving. Enjoy with steamed rice or stir-fried vegetables!
