Ingredients:

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional)
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, peeled and lightly crushed (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or thyme) for garnish

Preparation Steps:

1. Preheat the Oven:

Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, or lightly grease it with oil to prevent sticking.

2. Season the Potatoes:

In a large bowl, combine the potato slices with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss until the potatoes are evenly coated.

3. Arrange the Potatoes:

Lay the seasoned potato slices in a single layer on the baking sheet. Ensure they are not overlapping to promote even cooking.

For extra flavor, scatter fresh rosemary sprigs and the crushed garlic cloves over the potato slices.
