Crispy Chicken Cutlets Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 1 Ā¼ cups panko bread crumbs
- Ā¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 egg
- Salt & pepper to taste
- ā cup vegetable oil
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Chicken:
Begin by freezing the chicken breasts for about 20 minutes to make them easier to handle. Once firm, slice each breast in half horizontally to create thinner pieces. Using a meat mallet, pound the chicken to an even Ā¼-inch thickness.
2. Prepare the Coating:
In a shallow dish, mix together the panko bread crumbs, grated parmesan cheese, and garlic powder. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg until smooth.
3. Bread the Chicken:
Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Dip each piece first into the egg, ensuring it’s fully coated, then press it into the panko mixture, making sure the crumbs adhere well.
4. Cook the Cutlets:
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, gently place the chicken cutlets in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the chicken is golden brown and has reached an internal temperature of 165Ā°F.
5. Serve and Enjoy:
Serve your crispy chicken cutlets immediately with your favorite sides or dipping sauces. Theyāre perfect for a quick, delicious meal!
