Slow Cooker Beef and Potato Au Gratin
A cheesy, hearty comfort meal made with tender potatoes, seasoned beef, and creamy sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 4–5 potatoes (thinly sliced)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook ground beef in a pan until browned, then drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup with milk.
- Layer sliced potatoes at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add a layer of cooked beef and onions.
- Pour some of the soup mixture over the layer.
- Repeat layers until ingredients are used.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
Tip
For extra flavor, add garlic powder or paprika before cooking.
