Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 can (20 oz) apple pie filling
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 can (12 oz) lemon-lime soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare the crescent rolls: Open the crescent roll dough and carefully separate it into individual triangles.
  3. Fill the dumplings: Spoon a small amount of apple pie filling into the center of each triangle.
  4. Roll the dumplings: Roll up each triangle, enclosing the filling, and pinch the edges to seal. Place the rolled dumplings into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Make the sauce: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the brown sugar until fully combined and smooth.
  6. Pour the sauce: Drizzle the butter and sugar mixture evenly over the dumplings in the dish.
  7. Add the soda: Carefully pour the lemon-lime soda around the edges of the baking dish, avoiding the tops of the dumplings.
  8. Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the dumplings are golden brown and the sauce is bubbling.

Serve these irresistibly sweet and flaky apple dumplings warm, and enjoy a simple yet indulgent dessert with minimal effort!
