4-Ingredient Slow Cooker Beef Roast

This incredibly tender beef roast cooks low and slow in a rich onion gravy. With only four ingredients, it’s one of the easiest comfort food dinners you’ll ever make.

Ingredients

  • 3–4 lb beef chuck roast
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 large onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Place sliced onions in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Set the chuck roast on top.
  3. Sprinkle onion soup mix evenly over the roast.
  4. Pour beef broth around the meat.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours.
  6. Shred gently with forks and serve with the rich onion gravy.

Total Time: 8 hours (slow cook)
